Alice M. Stewart Interview Collection 1984 - 1990 1984

Dr. Alice M. Stewart was born in Sheffield, England in 1906. She received a medical degree from the University of Cambridge. She was the first to demonstrate the link between X-rays of pregnant women and cancer in children. She went on to study Hiroshima survivors and workers in ammunition plants, demonstrating the dangers of radiation exposure. Dr. Stewart died in 2002 at the age of 95 in Oxford, England. The collection consists of audiocassette tapes and typed transcripts of interviews with Dr. Stewart.
